Actor Tony Curtis dies at 85

Tony Curtis, a dashingly handsome matinee idol of the 1950s and '60s, died at his home in Henderson, Nevada, of cardiopulmonary arrest according to a spokeswoman for the Clark County coroner. Curtis starred in over 140 major motion pictures.

"My father leaves behind a legacy of great performances in movies and in his paintings and assemblages," his daughter actress Jamie Lee Curtis said in a statement. "He leaves behind children and their families who loved him and respected him and a wife and in-laws who were devoted to him."
