Beginning in January 2006, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre said that if he "had to pick right now and make a decision, I'd say I'm not coming back."
That was the first of five consecutive seasons in which Favre has insinuated, at one point or another, that he's going to stop playing football.
Since then Favre has had a faux retirement after faux retirement.
His last faux retirement came last Tuesday when he reportedly texted his Viking teammates, "This is it."
Then, true to form, he told ESPN's Ed Werder that he'd play if his bad ankle didn't fail him.
