Illinois Governor arrested by FBI

The first link below is a “breaking news” link to the website of the Chicago Tribune and will probably be updated throughout the day as the story of the arrest of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (pictured) unfolds.

The Tribune will not be holding back this story in any way because there is no love lost between the Governor and the Tribune after Gov. Blago demanded the firing some Tribune writers.

Gov. Blago was taken into custody by FBI agents for what U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald called a "staggering" level of corruption involving pay-to-play politics in Illinois' top office.

The pay-to-play politics included money for filling Barack Obama’s Senate seat.
