Cruise ship runs aground in Arctic Ocean

The Canadian Coast Guard came to the rescue of cruise ship passengers who had been stranded in the Arctic for almost two days after the Clipper Adventurer ran aground.

The passengers were safely removed after the ship became stranded. The photo above shows the starboard side of the Clipper Adventurer. A slight list to port is noticeable.

None of the estimated 128 passengers and 69 crew members were hurt or injured.
