California gay marriage ban reversed

The gay marriage ban in California has been reversed by Judge Vaughn R. Walker (pictured).

The gay marriage ban was the well-publicized Proposition 8 that was passed by California voters in 2008.

One Wednesday, one judge voided more than 7,000,000 California voters.

Two questions come to mind:

1. Will Judge Walker's ruling be challenged and taken to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and eventually to the United States Supreme Court?

2. Did Judge Walker's personal sexual orientation influence his decision? An article at the second link below reports that Judge Walker is gay.

To many the obvious answer to both questions is yes.
