Turning Torso building in Malmö, Sweden

This unique ‘twisted’ skyscraper was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and completed in August 2005.

The building has nine segments of five-story pentagons that twist as it rises. The top segment is twisted ninety degrees clockwise compared to the ground floor.

The lower three segments contain offices. The upper six segments contain 147 luxury apartments.

The building has five elevators. Three for residents of the building and two are for those working in the building.
