The Cathedrals quartet sing Going Home

The Cathedral signing group got their name from American television evangelist Rex Humbard’s Cathedral of Tomorrow TV program.

Glen Payne and George Younce were Cathedral members for many years. The group ended their 35-year career in 1999.

Glen Payne passed away on October 15, 1999 at the age of 72. George Younce passed away on April 11, 2005.

Cathedral tenor Ernie Haase went on to form Signature Sound quartet in 2002. The late George Younce, long-time Cathedral bass singer, was Ernie Haase’s father-in-law.
