The 80-20 rule alive and well on Facebook

Pareto's Principle, sometimes called the vital few and trivial many rule, observes that most things in life are not distributed evenly. A simple example is that 20% of a person's effort generates 80% of that person's results.

Another simple example: 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people.

This is more commonly known as the “80-20 rule” and is evident on Facebook where generally 80% of the entries are posted by about 20% of the members.
