O.J. turned over fake Rolex to Goldman family

There are some names that keep popping up in the news so often the nausea seems to never end. Names like Paris Hilton, Anna Nicole Smith and O.J. Simpson (upper picture). Actually, Fred Goldman (lower picture) also ranks right up there with the rest.

Fred Goldman is the father of Ron Goldman who was murdered along with Nicole Brown Simpson. O.J. Simpson was accused of the murders but received a not guilty verdict after the trial.

In a later wrongful death trial, the Goldman family was awarded $33.5 million. $25 million as punitive damages for the slayings in addition to $8.5 million in compensatory damages.

Attorneys for Goldman recently seized a Rolex watch from Simpson thinking the timepiece would be worth about $22,000.

The watch turned out to be a fake with a value of about $125. It was returned because it had so little value it fell under an exemption in the judgment excluding jewelry worth less than $6,075.

Wonder how much money Goldman has spent so far in his unsuccessful attempts to get money from Simpson?

The more Goldman is obsessed with getting some of his multi-million-dollar judgement, the more O.J is determined to throw the ‘empty’ judgement back in Goldman’s face.

Somehow they deserve each other - the killer (who was acquitted in federal court but convicted in civil court) and the father who has devoted his life to revenge.
